Peace be with you in the physical, mental, and spiritual realms! ‘Om’ is the sacred, primeval sound of the universe, while ‘Shanti’ means peace. If you stop to consider, the universe is fairly tranquil and peaceful on its own. The Sun and Moon provide us with light, heat and faith in consistency. The tides come and go as does the wind and rain. The planets stay on course while every so often we may witness a shooting star oddly out of place with the precise universal movements. Although we experience change constantly, the macro movements of the vastness surrounding us is quite mathematically exact. Practically the single most philosophical question facing humankind is, are we a part of nature or a distinct separate entity able to manipulate the material energy? Whether we accept that there are Directed Energy Weapons (DEWs), ChemTrails, or other efforts by the scientific community to control our environment, there is plenty of evidence that humans have a significant effect. Air, land, and water pollution are dominant concerns of governments worldwide. There is a growing concern that agricultural products may have serious health concerns if not properly monitored. The West, primarily symptomized by the Abrahamic religions, generally view that man is separate from and superior to nature. The East, with roots in Hinduism, Buddhism, Daoism, Confucianism, and Zen tend to see humans as a part of nature. These are not just passing topics, but ones that should be deeply examined by us all. If you think we are superior to nature then it may follow that you believe the scientists will solve these pressing issues. If you think that we are merely part and parcel of nature you may feel inclined to make your own personal effort to tread lightly on this blessed land!
